Johannesburg – Former Orlando Pirates star Teko Modise has been tipped to return to the club in a coaching position int eh near future.
Modise, 36, donned the Orlando Pirates jersey between 2007 and 2011 during arguably his best years of his career and has since been linked with a return to the might Buccaneers.
He starred for the likes of SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City as well after making a name for himself at Ria Stars in 2001.
However, Modise is said to be keen to first complete his coaching courses before taking the step into the technical side of the game.
“Khoza has been speaking to him but Teko is not indicating whether he is interested or not as he considers the option. He has however said he wants to do some coaching classes before he gets into the field of coaching,” said an insider.
Modise is currently part of the matchday analysts panel at SuperSport TV for PSL clashes. He has already established himself as one of the top analysts in local football. He made 66 appearances for Bafana-Bafana between 2007 and 2012.
