Johannesburg – The Department of Health is working on a revised strategy for its mass vaccination programme.
Minister of Health Zweli Mkhize said this is to improve efficiency.
The department said 20 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine will land in South Africa in the next few weeks.
It also announced that the last 200,000 Johnson and Johnson vaccines will be arriving on Saturday.
A limited number of doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be used in an implementation study on health workers.
