“There is one detox concoction that I always go to when I need to restart my diet or get rid of toxins in my body. I drink a lot of water, about 4-6 liters a day and within this week, I barely drank 6 liters in 7 days. I fainted; I knew that my body was protesting. Of course I fainted due to dehydration but I know the dehydration was a result of the types of foods I ate.” Liilian said.
“This was what brought about the inspiration behind the detox tea. I always drink this mixture if I feel a cold or sore throat coming on. Or when everyone is getting sick. However, I drink this mixture for a week or so and voila, the cold was over. Additionally, I think the amount of green vegetables I eat also help.”
Green Tea Recipe:
- Fresh Ginger
- Minimum, 3 lemons
- 2 tea bags of good quality green tea
- 2 gloves garlic
- 2 barks of Cinnamon
- 2 liters of hot boiling water
Crush or fine chop the chili, ginger and garlic together and put into the hot boiled water
Wash and cut the lemons in halves, squeeze in the lemon juice inside the hot water and place inside the hot water
Add the cinnamon barks
Lastly add the bags of green tea and let is sit until the water is luke warm
For the best results, I prefer to let it sit over night and heat it up to drink it the following morning or as the day progresses. You can also do both, which I do.
Chefs Note: The ginger and the chili really marry well together, you will not necessarily taste the strong chili but the ginger will be stronger than usual. You will sweat more, you might get a running stomach but it is just a sign that it is working.
To sweeten it up, you can add honey to it.
“Here, I go all-wild on the herbs if I have. I add lavender, thyme, Rosemary, etc Lillian adds”
Try using all organic ingredients.
